HAND DEVELOPMENT
When hand developing and using a new sponge, be sure to rinse the sponge 5 or 6 times till the foam disappears. Pour the developer on the sponge away from the plate. Do not pour or splash the developer on the plate. Bring the sponge to the plate and develop left to right, top to bottom, being sure to completely develop all four edges of the plate. Rinse the plate off and use Subtractive Finisher if required. After developing and the image looks weak, you are over-developing.

MACHINE DEVELOPING When changing the competitors' developer to our developer, it is adviseable to install new sponges and to rinse them as described above under hand developing. If the image looks weak, then speed the developing machine up a little at a time until the image looks strong.
